Tips for teachers and parents
- Use it as a check after a student has worked through the individual tables. The facts they miss here show which table to revisit.
- Time Part A and Part B separately. A faster Part B shows that recall is warming up within one sitting.
- Mark missed facts on the answer key and copy them onto a short list for the next day's practice.
- Use the same sheet once a week for a month. The problems stay the same each time you print, so scores are easy to compare.
Common mistakes
- Slowing down on the 6s, 7s and 8s while racing through the 2s and 5s. Note which problems took longest, not only which were wrong.
- Mixing up products that are close together, such as 6 × 8 = 48 and 7 × 7 = 49. Practice those pairs side by side.
What to practice next
Go back to the individual table worksheet for any table with two or more mistakes, then try this review again in a week.
Frequently asked questions
When should my child do a mixed facts worksheet?
After they are comfortable with most individual tables. Mixed practice shows which facts are truly memorized rather than counted.
How many mistakes are okay?
Aim for 36 or more correct out of 40. A lower score usually points to one or two tables that need more work.
Can I print this for my whole class?
Yes. It is free for home and classroom use.
